Beach Camp: June 4-8

May you always have a shell in your pocket and sand in your shoes! Join us this week for beach camp!    


Schedules change per class.  However, each group will participate in the activities listed on this sample schedule.

9:00-9:30  Storytime and music

9:30-10:00 Indoor play

10:00-10:30 Theme related fun!

10:30-11:00 Snack

11:00-11:30 Outdoor play

11:30-11:45 Bible Reflection

11:45 Dismissal


Students will read a theme related book each day.   Additional theme related books will be available in the classroom library for children to read during class time.

Students will make a theme related snack each day.  Please inform  the preschool of any food allergies.

The snacks for Beach camp include:


Fish in the Ocean

Beach Balls

Bears on the Beach

Fishing with pretzel rods


Students  make a theme related craft everyday.  The crafts are sent home on the last day of camp.

A sampling of camp crafts include:

Paper bag whales
Flip Flop Frames
Jellyfish mobiles
Ocean animal collages
Sea animal stuffed animals

The children have time in the gym to play group games.  The group games are related to the camp theme.

Some group games we will be playing at  camp include:

Musical Dolphins

Ocean Obstacle course

Relay races

Beach Ball Hop

Toss the beach balls in the parachute

Octopus tag


The children will have time to play on the playground. Activities will be available related to the Beach theme for them to enjoy.

Easels and painting

Large muscle play with Snug playground equipment

The children  enjoy a bible devotion related to the beach!  These fun stories reflect on God creation.  The stories also lend themselves well to social themes including: sharing, family, helping others, and being a nice friend.  The stories are taken from the book My Big Book of 5-minute Devotions by Pamela and Douglas Kennedy.  Copies of these devotions will be sent home on the last day of camp.
